Snowshoes: Snowshoes with stiff bindings with patches present many advantages: less foot fatigue, the walking is more sure especially in cross-slopes where feet tend to come out of the snowshoes. Possibility to use the ascent chocs which relieve calves and ancles. Whatever the situation, (or almost) we do not use snowshoes with the heel fixed, it is particularly uncomfortable and it brings nothing, even in the descents! |

Adjustable and fixed length poles, fixed length poles are usually ski poles crossing into a different use. The advantages of a fixed length pole are greater strength in a pole of comparable cost or quality. The poles will be with a slightly superior size to the one used for the ski.
